ZEEK'S JOURNEY
Growing up in a single-parent household with limited resources, life presented its share of difficulties. However, I refused to let circumstances hinder my determination. Even as a teenager, I delved into weight training, grasping the principles of progressive overloading and intensity. The journey took an unexpected turn at 19 when I severely herniated my L5 spine disc while working as a residential carpenter, nearly facing paralysis.
Despite the adversity, I persevered. Unable to move or bend my back, I returned to work out of necessity, navigating through various jobs to sustain myself. Through these trials, I consistently adapted, refusing to succumb to excuses or limitations. Join me as I share the lessons learned, the growth achieved, and the continuous commitment to self-improvement, regardless of the challenges faced.
GET TO KNOW ME
I'm Zeek Andrews, and I'm excited to share my journey with you. From a young age, I was driven by a deep passion for sports and excelling in presidential fitness tests. This drive became a way of life, shaping my commitment to physical and mental well-being.
Embarking on my story, I encountered challenges during my adolescence, particularly significant injuries that temporarily derailed my pursuit of a strong physique. At the age of 15, I faced a fracture in my scaphoid—the bone connecting the thumb to the wrist. Overcoming this setback required bone graft surgery, with doctors extracting bone from my hip and securing it in my wrist with screws and pins. Enduring a year in a cast, I maintained my fitness through calisthenics and self-directed physical therapy, as financial constraints prevented formal treatment.
